Top Photography Apps' Performance in New Zealand Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top photography apps in New Zealand displayed varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users, as analyzed by Sensor Tower.

Photoroom AI Photo Editor saw its weekly revenue peak at approximately $4.1K in mid-October, followed by a decline to around $3K by the end of December. Its weekly downloads showed an initial surge to 3.2K mid-October, then tapered off, stabilizing around 1.5K at year-end. Active users started at 6.7K, peaked at 9.3K, and finished at 6.6K.

Lightroom Photo & Video Editor experienced a consistent weekly revenue, hovering around $5.3K with a slight dip in early December. Downloads started strong at 7.2K, declined through October, then fluctuated, ending the year at 3.4K. Active users peaked at 17.7K in late October, followed by a decline, ending at about 11.2K.

FaceApp: Perfect Face Editor maintained steady weekly revenue, peaking at $5.8K just before Christmas. Downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 600 weekly. Active users showed a slight decline from 2.3K to 2.1K over the quarter.

Picsart AI Photo Editor, Video had a stable revenue trend, peaking at $4.2K in mid-December. Downloads increased towards the end of the year, reaching 2.4K. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter, peaking at nearly 8.5K in early November.

FaceLab Face Editor App, Aging showed a decline in weekly revenue from $1.4K in mid-October to $446 by the end of December. Downloads dropped significantly from 6.3K at the start to just 139 by the end. Active users followed a similar downtrend, ending at 593.
